U.S.-Japan Summit Meetings 日米首脳会談 Vol.19（VP Pence’s visit to Japan ペンス副大統領訪日）

22日追加分が下の方にあります。
少し書かせていただきますと、
大統領と充分に連携しその代理で、East Asia Summit や APEC Leaders Meeting の前に“全般には悪くない”トーンで日本に“だけ”立ち寄るアメリカ副大統領に関する（英語ツイートを中心に）インターネット上での国外各社における英語での取り扱われ方が、今回も予想通り（ツイートは非常に少なく）地味です。厳密には、副大統領は首脳ではないにしても、です。
日本経済に関するネガティブな内容のものは、いくつも発見したのに、です。そういう方向に引っ張ろうとする関係者の存在も見え隠れします。
尤も、これでも、数年前までよりも、世界での日本のプレゼンスは格段に高まっています。日本の歴代政権を日本語及び英語の報道等文書により振り返るならば、６年経った今も現政権の外交は総合的には充分合格点であることは確実です。
誰か一人で、或いは、すぐにもっと、プレゼンスを高めるのは元々無理です。関係各機関の普段からの連携、その基盤となる人材の普段からの米欧でのプレゼンス、これを毎日少しずつ高めていく。これしかありません。
他方、もう何十年続いているtrade imbalanceやbarriersの話も、それぞれについて具体的な説明等対応を根気強く続けるしかありません。
前者については、日本側の投資によりアメリカ国内に雇用を産み、それらを含めた数字上即ち実質的には、前者は存在しないことを理解してもらう。
後者については、日本語しか通じないことも含めて日本側の日本人無意識の慣習が国際的にはどの国から見ても実質的障壁になっていることの改善を進める、アメリカ側の商品やサービスが日本に向かない場合があることが（存在しない）障壁によるものであるとの誤解を解く。
日本は、マネーや物品、サービスの国際的やり取り無くして、生きて行けない国です。ある意味、数十年はそれ無しでも生きて行けるアメリカとは違います。それゆえ、とりわけ日米同盟の維持深化については、努力し続ける必要があります。
そのためには、日本国内の日本語での報道や世論形成等で自己満足していても、仕事をしたことにはなりません。ある意味、国外向け・英語が全てです。勿論、国内世論形成や、母国語での議論の深化は、当然、必須ではあります。
なお、このサイトで、アメリカ大統領や副大統領の訪日等を今後も“毎回”取り上げるとは決めていません。

Today, our nations are issuing a joint statement between the United States and Japan that covers a range of activities on energy, infrastructure, digital connectivity across the region. Our countries have been allies now for nearly 70 years, and at this very moment, some 54,000 members of the Armed Forces of the United States are currently stationed in Japan as a testament to our ongoing commitment to our common defense. We’ve also stationed some of our most advanced military capabilities in this country, from the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan to the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter.
As President Trump has made clear to you on numerous occasions, Mr. Prime Minister, we also are encouraged to see Japan making an even greater investment in our shared security. And the United States strongly supports your efforts to expand the scope of Japan’s self-defense.
To that end, last year, President Trump made a commitment to you to speed up the sales of defense technology to Japan, and we’re keeping that promise. Before the end of this year, we will deliver ten F-35s to Japan, and six more in 2019.

Partly because it is the last day of (National) Cybersecurity Awareness Month, and because we have felt odd/suspicious disturbances on a daily basis, we had RTed to try to have a kind of summary of the month on Twitter. During that time, there came such disturbances as usual. If we may, we would say this is not a delusion of persecution, and that there is at least a person who always react to our RTs and work against our efforts while we are very fair under the rule of law. Whoever of any country unfairly disturb lawful/healthy economic activities need(s) to be strictly judged and punished in the end under the rule of law. It is obvious that all the people can live and countries can exist, thanks to the presence of sound private-sector economy.
今日が最終日であり、普段から妙な邪魔を感じてもおり、一応まとめておこうかとリツイートを始めたら、詳細は言いませんがまた邪魔が入りました。
法の支配の下で弊社は公正に業務を行っておりますところ、被害妄想ではなく、RTに反応して弊社業務を毎日少しずつ引っ張る者が居ます。
合法かつ健全な経済活動を不当に邪魔をする者は、どこの誰であれ、最終的に、法の支配の下で厳正に裁かれなければなりません。
言わずもがなですが、民間経済あっての国民や国家の存立です。

Whatever ranks/positions/occupations they belong/have, there always seem to be cases in which assailants/attackers lack IQ/EQ that enable them to precisely understand each kind of damages including victims’ anxieties and time. However, it is a matter of course that such cases usually constitute crimes, and that they impede people’s healthy economic activities and daily lives.
A fair, democratic society, based on the rule of law, needs to strictly punish such assailants/attackers who can’t understand the fatigue of victims who repress their own emotions to directly fight back.
Japanese people/government have to participate in and cooperate with the international society’s countermeasures.
いつも感じるのは、被害者の心労や時間も含めた各種被害の大きさを認識できるだけのIQやEQが、どういう肩書であれ加害者には欠如している場合もあるということです。ただ、それでも勿論、犯罪は成立し、そういう行為は健全な経済活動・日常生活を妨げもします。
直接反撃をグッとこらえる被害者の疲労を理解できない加害者を、公正な民主主義社会においては法の支配の下、厳正に処罰しなければなりません。
日本人・日本国も国際社会の対処に参画協力して行かねばなりません。

戦没者を追悼し平和を祈念する日 The day for mourning of war dead and praying for peace

標記は、終戦記念日について日本政府が定めた正式な呼称だそうです。世界的には１４日が、日本の終戦及び第二次世界大戦の終結の日です。
今年で戦後７３年です。国益と平和を確実に守って行かねばならないと毎度新たな気持ちになります。
