今日もボリュームが多いですがテキサスのみであり、大学ツイート特集過去9回と異なり中間選挙自体のツイートが多かったので、少しだけ触れます。
今回、熱かった、そして実は根っこが深かった、のが伝わってきました。過大評価との声もある中、善戦したオルーク氏へは賞賛の記事が少なくありません。現職下院議員として少々の地盤等がある、有名・やり手な現職与党上院議員に野党候補者として挑戦する、今までの二十年以上の間の政権とは異なることを押し進める現大統領等への反感は与党関係者内にも強い、とりわけ現在この地が与党にとって特別に政治的な地に成っている、感じの良いオーソドックスなやり方を貫いた、などが要因であろうと考えています。
弊社としては、常々、日米関係の維持深化を頭の中心に置きつつ、表層的ではないなるべく内容のある情報を、党派性等を持たずに選んで当サイトに掲載するよう努めています。
今回の大学ツイート特集においても同じで、大学ですからどちらかと言うと明らかに政権与党とりわけ一般に言う右派的なものへの批判が多いのは元々承知していますが、選挙後2年間のアメリカ国民の生活等そして日米関係や世界情勢を深く考える上で役に立ちそうなツイートを選ぶよう努めています。
様々な障害物を跳ね除けて大統領になった、政権与党になった、今回も踏ん張った側にも見てもらって、アメリカの政権与党政治家として今後の言動思考に活かしてもらえば良い、とも考えます。当然ながら、弊社としては色々と把握はする一方で、日本に直接マイナスが及ぶもの等以外は、外国人である日本人が口を挟む話ではありませんので、そういうことは今までもこれからもいたしません。
